A New Sweet Desert - Bishop Chocolate Pie

If you love chocolate, then Bishop Chocolate Pie will be a favorite of yours. There are hundreds of recipes on the Internet for it. Some recipes are more complicated than others. The following recipe is quite simple. Bishop Chocolate Pie takes two hours to make. On a scale of five, with five being the most difficult, this pie is rated two!

Here are the ingredients for the Bishop Chocolate Pie: one package of instant chocolate pudding, one cup of milk, and one pint of vanilla ice cream.

Mix the pudding and the milk together; then blend in the ice cream for two minutes. Pour the mixture into a 9 X 13 inch graham cracker crust pie tin. Top with Dream Whip and shaved chocolate and chopped pecans for decoration. (You can use a potato peeler to shave the chocolate). Then you will need to chill for three hours. If you are diabetic, it’s easy to substitute ingredients, such as using a sugar free pudding mix. You can also top the pie of with low sugar whipping cream. If you are making the crust from scratch, then leave out the sugar.

It is possible to store in the freezer; then when you need it, pull the pie out two hours before. Place it in the refrigerator to thaw. As a general rule, never thaw any food in room temperature or under hot water. Always thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
